Because I feel guilty… for not writing anything about this drama which I claimed to be one of my favorites and the best drama for year 2012. It’s one of those drama which I would eagerly watch all over again.
I’m still having post-drama syndrome after watching ‘That Winter The Wind Blows’ starring Jo In Sung and Song Hye Gyo along with Kim Bum and A Pink Eunji. I usually have post-drama syndrome when the drama is either very good or frustrating. This time, it is both.
I know this is kinda late post already. But, I owe my blog this. ^^
The title “Going the Distance once in a Blue Moon” is inspired by the movie “Going the Distance” starring Drew Barrymore. ^^ According to free dictionary, ‘go the distance‘ means “to do the whole amount; to play the entire game; to run the whole race” and ‘once in a blue moon” means “very seldom“. Why did I choose such title? Continue reading
What do you think of when you hear the word “Korea”?
Lots of things come to my mind when I hear the word “Korea”… the country, food, culture, Korean dramas, KPop music, Korean actors and actresses, Korean artists and many more. One thing is for sure, I want to visit Korea. I want to step foot in Korean ground, eat Korean food and experience Korean culture.
Actually, one of the contest mechanics is to choose an Icon from PSY’s Wiki Korea Dictionary to write about when answering the question above. I came to know about this contest 2 weeks ago but didn’t know what icon to choose. Should I choose Haeundae because, it is a famous beach located in Busan where my heart lies? Kekeke… I’m a BIG fan of CNBLUE and my favorite members are all of them but the Busan Brothers Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Jong Hyun are like magnets… I am incredibly attracted to them.
Just today when I came to PSY’s Wiki Korea Dictionary and clicked on the icon Samgyeopsal, a memory came to mind… which gave me an idea on what to write as my contest entry. I thought at first that this might be embarrassing, revealing my ignorance… but so be it.

I’m not fond of social networking sites like twitter and facebook before… I find it somewhat a hassle, that’s from someone who haven’t even tried. I have a friendster account at that time and I’m so addicted to forums. When I go online, I login to forums or check my friendster account.
Life for me these days is tiring. I don’t want to go into details why… but I’m busy. XD
Yesterday was a great day for me. I always check cebupacificair.com a seat sale to save on air fare since I will be going to Manila on October to meet new found great friends thanks to CNBLUE. Yeah, I may be unfortunate at most cases but I have the greatest friends. Why I am going to Manila on October? I’ll make another post for that.. kekeke. Yesterday, there is a seat sale in cebupacificair.com, I was really disheartened the previous days because I might not be able to get any seat sale anymore since October is drawing near. So finally, I was able to book my flight to Manila at a less cost. Yey!
During afternoon, a tweet puzzled me.
Recently, I’ve watched the following Korean dramas:
An elite North Korean spy, Han Myung Wol, and her partner, Choi Ryu, infiltrate South Korea on a mission to disrupt the Hallyu Wave by kidnapping one of their top stars, Kang Woo. Despite her proficiency at her job, Myung Wol’s one weakness is her uncontrollable curiosity. Eventually, she falls in love with Kang Woo instead.

The King 2 Hearts is set in a parallel universe where modern day South Korea is governed by a constitutional monarchy descended from the Joseon Dynasty. Lee Jae Ha is a handsome yet materialistic crown prince who doesn’t care about politics and bares total reluctance for being the second successor to the throne. Lee Jae Kang, the current king, tricked him into joining a joint military collaboration with North Korea as a means to help “make him grow up”.
Meanwhile, Kim Hang Ah is a North Korean Special Forces Officer who is also the daughter of a North Korean military high command official. Both Jae Ha and Hang Ah meet at the joint military training, a crucial part in establishing friendly relations between the two separate countries. Although the two met each other with a fiery disposition, Jae Ha unwittingly sparks a friendship with Hang Ah and soon, he subsequently falls in love with her. Soon, an arranged marriage is set up between the two and they eventually become engaged. While they attempt to set their differences aside and kindle a growing relationship, things suddenly take a turn for the worse when King Jae Kang and his wife were coldly assassinated by the devious Club M, who is led by John Mayer/Kim Bong Gu, a mysterious magician who wishes to remove the Royal Family and rule in their stead. Now crowned as the new King of South Korea, Jae Ha must take the reign and protect the country before it is too late.

And, I’ve been very interested with Ha Ji Won’s latest movie entitled “Korea” which English title is “As One”. A based on True Story movie. I haven’t watch it yet, but I will, as soon as I found its English subtitled version.
‘As One’ is based on the true story of the first unified Korean sports team since the Korean War. Ha Ji Won stars as the South Korean ping pong star Hyun Jung Hwa, and Bae Doo Na plays the role of Rhee Boon Hee from North Korea. The two athletes were teamed up by politicians from their respective countries to compete as Team Korea at the 41st World Table Tennis Championships in 1991.
The movie was filmed without the use of stunt or body doubles. The actresses are reported to have trained for months prior to filming to learn the playing style and habits of the athletes they portrayed. Ha Ji Won was fortunate enough to get the help of the actual Hyun Jung Hwa for training and during the filming process. Though Bae Doo Na was not able to receive aid from Rhee Boon Hee, she worked hard to represent her character as accurately as possible. She even had to switch the hand she played ping pong with because Rhee Boon Hee was a left-handed player.
