Prologue

“Unnie, I want to spend the rest of my life in Hawaii… Can we go there?” my sister asked me joyfully while shifting her position on the couch.

“Uhhu…” I replied raising my eyes from what I was reading. “And dear, why Hawaii of all the places?”

“I really want to go there… I wanna see their turtles, I heard they have big ones. And Sandy told me it’s one of the most romantic places.” She replied smiling at me. Her eyes really sparkle when something interests her. She really wants to go.

“Ok sweetie, I’ll ask father and mother about it.” I replied smiling back at her. I really love my sister and if going to Hawaii will really make her happy, I will do so.

Chapter 1 Preview

“Oppa! Come and catch me… Hahaha…” A girl was running at the seaside.

“I’m coming for you!” I was running towards her but she was moving farther and farther from me.

“You can’t catch me!” The girl was shouting, running towards the sea…

“I will!” I shouted back at her.

Then suddenly, a huge wave washed over her. And she was gone… Just like that… she was gone.

PROLOGUE

Thump… thump… thump…

The rain is heavily pouring now. It has been 30 minutes since Dara’s burial activity ended. The weather seems to know how we feel. As I look outside the car window, the sky is so dark though it’s still 4:00 in the afternoon. The place is covered with trees encircling the grave. It was Dara’s request to be buried here. It’s a land our family owned that we go for picnic, set on higher ground, you can overlook Seoul from here. It’s a memorable place for her.

Bom-unnie is still kneeling beside her grave clutching an umbrella in her arms. Even though she’s with an umbrella, I know for sure that she’s already wet.

I look around me and notice a guy walking towards the grave site. But, he suddenly stop when he sees someone is still there. He hid behind a tree and just stand there leaning his back on its trunk. Something intrigues me about the guy. He seems familiar. I look carefully at him, wiping the car window and staring at him intently. *Gasp* Then, it hit me. He’s the one I’ve been looking for… 2 years ago. He was my first love.

#wwlyna Must Watch Drama: 49 Days / Pure Love

49 Days is a drama that defines what Pure Love is. When I watched the drama, its not really romantic at all. I don’t get the “kilig” or “sweet excitement” between couples… but you could feel the Love in them. I thought that love exist in Happiness.  and Joy. It’s the first time I realize that Love exist in Pain and Sadness also. I know Love takes in many form. But, I never recognize or acknowledge its existence in Pain and Sadness. Love truly is painful. It is… even scary.

 

Scene #1: The Comfort of Silence

Have you ever experience being with someone where you are both communicating silently? No words, no actions. Just silence.

It’s that moment where you seem to understand each other without the need of saying it. In that silence, you find comfort and connection with the person you are with. Sometimes, during such moment, you get to realize something important. How much the presence of that person means to you?

 

[FanFic] Dear Teacher Chap.1: First Day High

Dara woke up early and cautiously prepared her outfit. She really had trouble picking out what to wear today. She ended up putting on white long-sleeves polo and dark-blue slacks. She checks herself in the mirror and puts on dark-rim eyeglasses. She said to herself, “I look formal… like a teacher, right?” then smiled before going out from her apartment. Before she put on her shoes, she went back to her room and changes her slacks with black tight-fitting jeans. She is still not comfortable wearing slacks. Checking her outfit at the mirror again, she put on a smile before leaving her room.

At the entrance gate of Sungkyunkwan High School. Dara looked up at the signage that crowned the gate. She smiled and murmured, “The sky looks bright, a good sign that today will go well.” She closed her eyes and silently prayed. Suddenly, someone bumped into her, sending all her things flying everywhere then ended up on the floor. She opened her eyes and quickly searched for the person who collided with her. A guy wearing a headband with a smirk on his face looked at her. The guy mockingly said, “Ya! What are you doing here in the middle of the gate dreaming? Wake up girl!”, then jogs toward the school building.
